Speech given by The Most Venerable Dharma Sangha on May 20, 2011 on the occasion of Mahan Darshan after completion of six years of penance and meditation.

May the world be filled with wisdom
like the lovely cool soothing moonlight
and brilliantly shining sun
as it is in the everlasting pureland
merged in emptiness and liberation.

May the world of Dharma continuously ring forth
like the sound of a conch shell.

May the atma, paramatma, anatma and the world
of Maitreya prevail like a vajraholder.

“Namo Aasthlokesworaya Nama, Namo Maitreya Nath Nama,
Maitreya Sarva Dharma Sangha”

May the wisdom world, like an eight petal lotus flower,
containing the scent of the Divine consciousness prevail
amongst the Sravakas.

“Namo Aasthlokesworaya Nama, Namo Maitreya Nath Nama,
Maitreya Sarva Dharma Sangha”

Maitreya Sarva Dharma Sangha”

In search of the pure path, six years have been completed
with the aim of liberating all living sentient beings
and for the peace of the world.

Until today, on this most historical and virtuous day,
the nature of cyclic existence and the changing world,
has been degenerated to roaming aimlessly and in confusion.

I am here to awaken the world which is influenced
by dependent origination with the loving kindness of Maitreya Nath.
This is because of the ignorance of worldly beings.

Maitreya Nath came into the world four times but he left
leaving the profound teachings in the world.

35 thousand years ago, thousands of worldly beings achieved
bodhisattva & Arhat due to their Shil, Samadhi and Pragya (moral, meditation & wisdom).
One thousand years after this, two sisters were born.
The elder sister manifested as a Bodhisattva and the younger sister
achieved majestic completion (chamat kari siddhi)
in order to tame worldly beings.

Their names were Bodhi Srawan and Mohima
Again she was born in the Sakya family
As Siddharta Gautam Buddha,
due to past accumulated virtues.
Again he renounced his home to find
meditative concentration.

From his past meditative experiences, he completed
and was blessed with Shil, Samadhi and Pragya (morals, meditations and wisdom)

At the time of the Maha Parinirvana, Sakyamuni Buddha
had a personal vision of Maitri Nath.
That time was very unfavourable and in this way I was killed.
This was my last experience of birth and death.
For 2000 years my consciousness has been in a state of suffering,
being unable to help sentient beings.

Suddenly the sound of thunder came to me and I was born.
At some point during my birth, I remembered my urge for meditation.
However, because of my mother’s love and affection, it took me the first
6 or 7 years to start gradually remembering my past.
One day a Maha Namab (Great Being) came to me, wearing a white robe
and he reminded me who I was and day by day I continue remembering my past meditations.

While I was 8 or 9 years old, a wondrous vision came to me;
in the distant village of Ratanpuri, a dead body was being taken away from a house for cremation.
I was playing with my friends and suddenly my eyes went to a flame of the burning dead body
and a brilliant light emanated from the body and entered the sky.

Because of that brilliant light emanating from the body,
I realized the humans experience liberating after death.

After I started remembering past life meditations, I gradually needed solitude,
a place for concentration. Because of these past life meditations, I was able to destroy
klesha (defilements) and mara (delusions). I started from the 7th chakra to the Brahma Chakra.
Rays of unseen light entered my body.

In that state the elements; water, air, earth, sky (ether), and sun (fire),
merged together and were consumed through meditative concentration.

the movements of the body and mind begin to slow down slightly.
When I looked back (physically), backside of my cloth had been eaten by termites.
the coldness of the earth, rainwater, clouds, the chilly weather of winter
and the very thin cloth on my body made it difficult to move,
because of sitting in one place for 10 months.

Although I have a body I could not feel the hot or cold weather.
My penance was moving towards doubt by other people, as their skepticism grew, it became difficult
in my daily activities to bring the world together. Even today, many people still don’t believe in me.

Those who enter the Maitreya Khudai (state) will be optimistic and true.
Those who confess the mistake they also will be true.

While seeking the Dharmakaya, all my efforts were put into understanding what message to give to the world. While examining the knowledge gained through meditation, a divine voice came to me, saying,
“Oh Tapasvi Muni stand up, stand up, stand up, you are going to die. Immediately, I saw through my meditative concentration and an 8 armed Arya Avalokiteshvara appeared.

At that time, from the manifested Bhagwan’s (Buddha) Divine eyes, two luminous yellow and green lights were shining forth. While that light entered into my body, marvelous powers manifested.

After that, something was preparing to attack my weakened body.
Remembering that my body was fragile, I decided to change the energy
and so I went south from my first meditation place.
In the process of finding my new place of solitude, I gave thought to the people
who had protected me (in the past) but I didn’t want to trouble them again.

On the 25th, at about 8 or 9 in the morning, south, I was waiting under the Bayar tree for them.
7 people came running up to me with heartfelt devotion.
They came with faith, tears in their eyes and sorrow in their minds,
from the unpleasantness of the jungle. The 7 persons were Dharma practitioners (Dharma Charika’s) in their past life.

their mind’s were filled with faith, devotion and tears in their eyes,
they asked, with loving kindness and a compassionate mind “What was lacking from our side?”.
With all my attention, I reassured them and then continued finding my philosophical path.
From there I went on a long journey and moved ahead in awakening meditation for 9 days.
I walked in the jungle with elephants, tigers, deers, leopards, antelopes,
rabbits, bears, wild horses, monkeys, peacocks & other birds, plants, trees and I crossed streams.

There is a river flowing from Chitwan, and 1 night while I was crossing over the middle of the river,
going west in a state of mediation, a voice came to me, saying “hey Balmuni (young sage), you should take care of your body. If you don’t, all the forms of dharma will disappear.”

After hearing this, I went back again to Halkorya.
When I reached Halkorya, I decided not to talk for 6 years.

I was meditation for 3 months in a cave of a hill in the north east of Halkoriya without air, water or heat from the sun. At that time a hunter came seeking the meat of an animal. He didn’t recognize me in the narrow cave. The poor hunter, with his attachment to meat, said, “What are you, human or animal (Ko Ho Haa).” These words he repeated 3 times, so then I showed him my arms slowly from the cave 3 times.

The poor hunter had a thirst and attachment to meat. For the happiness of this world, for the benefit and happiness of the hunter, wild animals and for the conservation of flora, I did meditations on Maitreya.

While I was meditating in the beautiful jungle of Bagjor, Halkoriya, under the Kalpa Briksha (tree), looking to eradicate worldly defilements, I achieved various kinds of small knowledges, and thousand of teachings and guidance leading to the path of wisdom.

Even with a 3 defilement body and with an environment of black clouds and rain, I was able to have a vision of Maitreya Nath. In the peacefulness of solitude, mind merged with mind gone beyond (Atman and Paramatma).

This direct vision of him, his teachings and philosophy can be expressed right now on this earth.

With this physical body consisting of the 5 elements, I would like to bring together the world of desire with the love, compassion and joyfulness, so that loving kindness flourishes all over the world.

While looking for body, speech and mind in a worldly way, THE WORLD PEACE GREAT MAITREYA PRAYER will spread all over the world for the benefit of all sentient beings and for the conservation of flora.
I will teach this wisdom all over the universe through great Shil, Samadhi and Pragya.

With this message from Maitreya, I will teach the Asta Shil (8 Morals) to eradicate the 3 poisons all over the world.
1. Do not discriminate against human beings on the basis of their caste, religion, gender, color etc.
2. Do not humiliate the DHARMA by making comparisons of superior and inferior.
3. Do not accept philosophical doctrines or principles that are discriminatory.
4. Do not discriminate among nations by thinking of and treating them as enemies and friends.
5. Give up the attempt to convert virtue into vice and vice into virtue and avoid exaggerating, blaming and belittling others.
6. Never practice the TEN NON-VIRTUOUS ACTIONS or other sinful activities.
7. Practice morality, concentration and wisdom, and dedicate your life to serve the nation and society.
8. Attain the perfect Enlightenment, or, liberation for oneself and other beings.
In this universe, if these 8 morals are observed purely in the Golden Age, it will become a mantra for this world and making it a pureland fit for Gods.

Perfect enlightened wisdom can be achieved through concentration. The path of liberation cannot only be found by the physical faculties.

These morals and rules are the path for liberating oneself of worldly things and birth and death for 17 times.

One should not demonstrate magical powers or accomplished powers in the name of Dharma. It is the opposite of Dharma.

The purpose of the Dharma is to show the path of liberation to those beings who are not liberated from this world.

To eradicate suffering, fear and terror, one needs to pursue Bodhi activities (Bodhi Charya), Divine commitment (Divya Bacha), pure knowledge beyond mind (Vishuddha Parichitta Gyan), great compassion and the enlightened mind. These are the closest to the philosophy of wisdom. Everything I do will be for the dedication of all sentient beings. Where there are experiences of concentration, there is Dharma.

those who enter deeply into loving kindness, who drinks the nectar of concentration, will remain in a state of mind gone beyond. Those who light the wisdom of Maitreya will open the gates of loving kindness in Samsara.

There are great beings, excellent being and Buddha beings. A meaningful existence for human beings is to practice Dharma. Where there is the existence of practitioners, there is Dharma. a completed form of Dharma is to guide all beings to sunyata (emptiness). The form of Buddha is sunyata, formlessness and shapelessness. It is stronger than a rock. In the peace and coolness of the Buddha wisdom there is liberation of the world.
